RN/LPN PRN Dayshift

Position Summary: The RN/LPN provides direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing clinical assessments. They manage patient admissions and discharges while ensuring compliance with confidentiality and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist with taking and recording daily client vital signs and assessments
• Administer medications and treatments as per provider protocol
• Assist with client admissions and discharges
• Record client observations and report to the medical team as needed
• Compassionately interact with the client population to encourage engagement in treatment
• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment
• Attend staff trainings and meetings as required by the employer
• Communicate with the pharmacy as needed
• Complete client nursing admissions, including intake surveys, blood draws, TB testing, and GeneSight swabbing
• Follow all policies and procedures regarding client information protection, including alcohol-drug client confidentiality and HIPAA
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Current unrestricted licensure in TN
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directions, and present information effectively, both orally and written
• Ability to work with both chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a non-judgmental, compassionate fashion
• Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data while dealing with several abstract and concrete variables
• Experience working with people in recovery and/or in mental health treatment a plus
