About the role
RN/LPN is responsible for providing care to clients including administering medication, taking vitals, and assessing medical needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the taking and recording of daily client vital signs and assessments
- Administer medications and treatments as per provider protocol
- Assist with client admissions and discharges
- Record client observations and report to the medical team as needed
- Compassionately interact with the client population to encourage engagement in treatment
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Attend staff trainings and meetings as required by the employer
- Communicate with the pharmacy as needed
- Complete client nursing admissions including intake surveys, blood draws, TB testing, GeneSight swabbing
- Follow all policies and procedures regarding client information protection, including alcohol-drug client confidentiality and HIPAA
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current unrestricted licensure in GA or TN (as required by facility)
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directions, and present information effectively, both orally and written
- Ability to work with both chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a non-judgmental, compassionate fashion
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data while dealing with several abstract and concrete variables
- Experience working with people in recovery and/or in mental health treatment a plus
