Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver individualized resident care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate care, ensuring residents' health maintenance, preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment
- Serve as charge nurse when needed, delegate tasks appropriately, and support staff to ensure safe and effective resident care
- Maintain compliance with nursing standards, ethical practices, and state regulations
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Hold an unencumbered RN license in the practicing state or multistate licensure
- Obtain and maintain required competencies and certifications
- Demonstrate competency in age-specific standards and nursing scope of practice
Key Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, coordinate resident services, educate residents, and support staff
- Function within professional standards and ethical guidelines, including delegation and supervision of care tasks
