RN Lead Surgery (OR) - ENT - La Jolla Green

About the role

This is a Full time, benefited position as a Lead OR RN over the ENT service line. The shift is a 10 hour day shift. It is located at Scripps Green in Torrey Pines La Jolla. Call and some weekends are required.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates patient care within the Care Unit on a per shift basis.
• Implementation and integration of the nursing process.
• Assignment and supervision of appropriate staff.
• Coordination and collaboration with physicians.
• Functions as the Care Unit expert and provides functional direction to members of the Patient Care team.

Requirements

• Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• California Registered Nurse License.
• One (1) year of recent surgery or operating room RN experience in an acute care setting.
• ENT experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Preferred: 3 years or more experience in Nursing experience.
• Preferred: 2 years or more of related experience.
• Preferred: CNOR certificate.
• Preferred: Leadership experience.
