Lead RN - General Surgery

About the Role

The Lead RN coordinates interdisciplinary team activities, monitors departmental throughput, and ensures delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care. They serve as a clinical resource, manage patient assignments, and address customer concerns promptly. The role involves evaluating emergency situations, managing schedules, conducting equipment checks, and facilitating communication among healthcare team members. The Lead RN also participates in quality assurance, compliance, and staff training, acting as a mentor for new team members and students.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current RN clinical experience, including in the area of specialty.
• Associates degree in nursing; High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
• Preferred: Specialty certification within 1 year and a BSN degree.
