RN - Labor & Delivery, Part Time, Nights

About the role

Join the dedicated Labor & Delivery team at Piedmont Walton, where compassionate care and clinical excellence go hand in hand. Our 7-bed unit, with an integrated OR and PACU, supports approximately 3,040 deliveries each month and provides comprehensive care for a wide range of patients and obstetric needs—from triage and labor to surgical delivery, recovery, postpartum, newborn nursery, and gynecologic care. Staffing ratios are thoughtfully guided by patient acuity and volume: 1:1 in active labor and OR/recovery, 2:1 for patients on magnesium therapy, and 3:1 for couplet care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Function within the framework of organizational policies and procedures while demonstrating professional growth and accountability.
• Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.

Requirements

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Work Experience: No experience required; new graduates eligible. PRN positions prefer 1 year in a hospital setting.
• Preferred Experience: Nursing experience in a hospital setting.
