Labor & Delivery RN (Part-Time, Night Shift)

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a labor and delivery unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance, along with professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across the care continuum.
• Utilizes critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
• Works in a safety-sensitive role, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree; preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN).
• No prior experience required; less than two years preferred for advanced qualifications.
