Job Summary
Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal-Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities.
Able to Assess Neonate at Delivery and Perform Neonatal Resuscitation

Professional Requirements

- Attends 12 staff meetings annually or reads and returns monthly staff meeting minutes

Requirements
- Regulatory Requirements: Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and Basic to Intermediate fetal monitoring course
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of practice
- Current BLS certification
