RN Labor and Delivery
Employment Type: Full time
Shift: Rotating Shift
About the Role
Our Labor and Delivery unit is designed to provide comprehensive, family‑centered maternity care in a safe, welcoming, and highly coordinated environment. The unit features five dedicated labor and delivery rooms that support personalized, attentive care throughout the birthing experience. Following delivery, patients transition to one of our fourteen comfortable postpartum and antepartum rooms, creating a calm and supportive setting for recovery and bonding. An integrated obstetric operating suite is located within the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring rapid access for cesarean births and urgent interventions while keeping mothers and babies close to the care teams they know. Our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides advanced, specialized support for newborns who need additional monitoring or intermediate‑level care, allowing families to remain together within the same unit.

This position accepts responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care with the multidisciplinary team while using the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards. The NICU Nurse is specifically responsible for the care of well and ill newborns who may require neonatal intensive care services. Staff are expected to float between the Birth Center and Pediatrics, which are considered “sister” units.
