Job Summary

You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patients' well-being and recovery. You will provide individualized, comprehensive care, make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and implement patient care plans. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way, incorporating differences into the provision of care.
  • Incorporates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, including patient and family education.
  • Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments that integrate changing data and formulates a plan of care based on trends of similar patients, including patient education and discharge planning.
  • Collaborates with patients/families to identify realistic desired outcomes.
  • Administers prescribed medications and intravenous solutions according to standards of care and hospital protocols.
  • Affirms pain levels in all patients using a "0-10" or other approved scale to promote comfort and enable patients to participate in their healing. Provides timely/appropriate assessment/intervention. Identifies comfort function goals with patients.
  • Tailors and prioritizes caring practice to individual needs, including cultural/ethical/spiritual needs.
  • Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs, adapting standards and guidelines for individual patients.

Requirements

  • Associate of Nursing or nursing diploma
  • Six months of recent L&D hospital experience, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire
  • PREFERRED: Bachelors of Nursing, upon hire
