Responsibilities
- Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs
- Identification of outcomes based on needs assessment
- Establishing the plan of care
- Supervising the progress and modifying the plan of care as needed
- Maintaining education and competencies to remain proficient in patient care
- Incorporating evidence-based nursing practice
- Identifying age-appropriate, culturally appropriate, and realistic outcomes
- Collaborating effectively with unit staff, leadership, and other disciplines
- Supplemental roles: Charge Nurse, Preceptor
Requirements
- Associate's or Vocational degree
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if working in state of MN upon hire / WI Department of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation - Multisource required for identified units per hiring manager within 4 months
- RN-C in related specialty preferred
- Physical Demands: Medium Work, Lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently
Qualifications
- 1 year RN high risk labor and delivery experience required (Tier 1)
- 1 Year RN OB experience required (Tier 2)
- 1 year RN current acute care experience required (Tier 3)
- New graduates with OB experience considered (Ex: Internship, Capstone, Nursing Asst) (Tier 3)

Schedule
0.8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period), 8-hour day/evening shifts, Every other weekend rotation
