Schedule

PRN Days, three shifts per month including 1 major and 1 minor holiday; Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Call is not required but allowed if wanting extra hours.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize patient and family needs by developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans, adjusting as needed.
  • Create a safe environment for patients, families, and staff, maintaining confidentiality and voicing patient concerns when necessary.
  • Manage learning for patients and families, and help nursing staff grow through knowledge sharing within the healthcare team and community.
  • Partner effectively with team members and the community to implement a cohesive care plan.
  • Recognize limited resources and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care.
  • Encourage professional growth by creating a positive work environment, supporting peers' professional development, and participating in continued education and community service.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology (IR).
  • Graduate of an Accredited Program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Major field of study in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 30 days of hire.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of patient care practices, medical terminology, medications, and equipment used in interventional radiology nursing.
  • Clear communication, both verbally and in writing, to engage with different groups effectively.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving for providing optimal patient care.
  • Ability to track changes in patients' health and communicate clearly with nurses and doctors.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly knowledge of electronic medical documentation systems and email.
