Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned
• Utilizes time, personnel, equipment, and supplies effectively to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care
• Manages resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs
• Uses standards of care, hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice
• Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data
• Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards
• Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection
• Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient
• Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching
• Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient’s preferences, values, and needs
• Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity
• Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy

Requirements

• Organizational skills
• Verbal interpersonal communication
• Customer relations proficiency
• Proficient in grammar and spelling
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
• Ability to follow verbal instructions
• Keyboarding skills (manual)
• Computer skills (visual and general knowledge)
• Proficient in conversational English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• High level of abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise the plan of care according to patient outcomes
• Critical care experience
• Advanced IV skill set (preferred)
• Experience with electronic medical records (preferred)

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
• 1+ years of experience in nursing skills and knowledge base specific to interventional radiology [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.

Pay

$31.53 - $52.24 per hour
