Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS American Red Cross Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment based on the department service level RN is hired into.
- One year of current critical care/Emergency Department RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications.
