RN - Internal Medicine Telemetry

About the role

Caregivers on our H80 Internal Medicine unit provide care to a wide variety of patients, with medical diagnoses including congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, pneumonia, diabetes, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleed, myocardial infarction and angina.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year of current Acute Care RN experience OR military RN experience.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Experience with age-specific and cardiac dysthmia/EKG interpretation training.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

• Pay

  • Minimum hourly: $35.50
  • Maximum hourly: $55.60
