RN Instructor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a unit educator, clinical instructor, and research facilitator in a Pediatric ICU setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational leadership and develop clinical skills through a master clinician/preceptor model.
• Perform as a clinical instructor for students and assist in staffing.
• Develop patient care plans based on evidence-based research and standards.
• Consult with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
• Educate staff on new equipment and conduct in-service training.
• Support patient and caregiver education and health management.
• Collaborate with clinical educators and leadership for curriculum planning.
• Monitor educational strategies to maintain quality standards.
• Deliver safe direct patient care across diverse age groups.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to policies, reporting concerns, and promoting a safety culture.
• Administer medications accurately and coordinate nursing care.
• Write treatment plans and facilitate group education sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (BSN or MSN).
• Minimum 18 months of related experience.
• Current RN license and CPR certification.
• Instructor certifications in required protocols within 90 days of hire.
• Physical ability to perform heavy work and work in hazardous environments.
