RN Nurse

About the role

A leading international senior home care company is seeking a dynamic leader to run our (city) location here. The RN is responsible for maintaining and developing medical care for clients in home health.

Responsibilities

• Develop a care plan for the patients' medical needs based on the physician's documentation
• Communicate expectations to caregivers and administration
• Manage day-to-day operations
• Strategize the best medical care
• Train caregivers on steps of care allowed by the state of Texas
• Maintain detailed care notes and keep the doctor informed
• Make suggestions for interventions and quality care
• Participate in the wellness of the patient
• Disperse medicine and ensure medication is being taken
• Educate the patient on his/her health
• Oversee training
• Adhere to federal, state, and local compliance practices
• Adhere to processes and practices around company administration and policy
• Oversee accurate time keeping and records; collaborate with Payroll
• Maintain awareness of competitive landscape
• Identify opportunities for market and client expansion, and new business development
• Perform other tasks as assigned or needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred but RN is acceptable
• Minimum 1 year of operations and employee management experience required
• Senior care experience strongly preferred
• Possess strong business acumen
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a changing environment
• Proactive with foreseeing potential issues and providing multiple resolutions
• Strong collaboration skills with both subordinate team and corporate partners
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook required
• Ability to learn software programs quickly
