Freeman Rehabilitation Services offers inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy in multiple locations. Occupational therapists work with patients to improve their ability to perform tasks in living and working environments, using their expertise and knowledge to help with both recovery and adaptation. Patients receive occupational therapy in a number of settings including acute care, home healthcare, pediatrics, and work performance rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provisions of safe and effective care.

Requirements

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse License or current Registered Nurse License from a Compact State. If a Compact License is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.
• If no experience as an RN or LPN in a hospital setting, or it has been more than 5 years since last worked in a hospital setting, nurses must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days.
• Continuing Education: AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Number of Days: 60 RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
