RN - Inpatient, Imaging
80% FTE, 8/10/12 day/evening hour shifts, Monday - Friday with start times between 6:30am - 8:00am. Includes weekend, weekday, and holiday on-call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Position is located at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Work in various modalities including procedure prep and recovery, Interventional Radiology Body, Interventional Radiology Neuro, Ultrasound, MRI, and Musculoskeletal. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change within a teaching and learning culture that values understanding both problems and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in Radiology subspecialties such as procedure prep and recovery, Interventional Radiology (Body and Neuro), Ultrasound, MRI, and Musculoskeletal.
- Engage in evidence-based therapies and research studies to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of providers and technical staff.
- Fulfill on-call responsibilities on weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wisconsin or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact (upon hire).
- Current CPR/BLS Certification (upon hire).
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Six (6) months of nursing experience in areas such as Inpatient Units, Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, or Cardiovascular Laboratory; or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
- Relevant certification in specialty areas preferred.
