Department Details
The Interventional Radiology Department is located at both the Broadway Hospital and SMCF and is a medical sub-specialty of radiology utilizing minimally-invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases in nearly every organ system. Patient populations include: angiograms (venous, arterial, renal, cerebral), embolization, gastric tube care, Permcath care, fistulgrams, para/thoracentesis, TIPS, IVC filters, aortograms, vertebroplasty, venograms, ELVS/phlebectomy procedure, nephrostogram, esophogram, abscessogram, biopsies and injections. Primary hours fall between Monday-Friday 0630-1700. Call rotation to include 3-4 weeknights/month and one weekend every other month.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
