RN - Innovation Unit

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital and experience world-class healthcare at its best. Fairview Hospital's 5 North Complex Medical Care Unit, also known as the Innovation Unit, has a collaborative, supportive and multi-disciplinary team of caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
• Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
• Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program
• Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One year of patient care experience (preferred)

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program, Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Skills

• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $23.25
Maximum hourly: $33.50
