RN II, Adult Oncology - FT/Days (12HRS)

About the role

Position Summary The RN, Registered Nurse provides safe, cost-effective patient care through the health experience, according to established standards utilizing the nursing process, within the scope of practice of Registered Nursing, for the Adult Oncology department at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.

Requirements

• Completion of pre-employment drug screening
• Completion of pre-employment criminal background reference check
• Completion of pre-employment health evaluation including TB screening, and annual or bi-annual re-evaluation as indicated by Employee Health
• Ability to comply with every other weekend work commitment and be available to work any day of the week
• One (1) year minimum nursing experience in an oncology setting highly preferred
• Willingness to train and perform urology procedures and practices

Qualifications

• Current CA RN license
• BSN required unless waived by nurse executive council review
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Completion of unit orientation and clinical competency validation
• Current cancer‑specific certification by an accredited program or 12 hours of cancer‑specific continuing education each calendar year (or completion within one year of employment)
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy or OCN certification highly preferred

Pay

Pay range: $50.74/hr – $77.79/hr. A $10,000 signing bonus is available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements. Placement in the pay range is based on relevant experience and qualifications; additional compensation may include shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Full‑time, Days (12‑hour AWS) shift.
