Overview
We are a 40 bed Medical/Surgical fast-paced, high acuity Intensive Care Unit staffed with Critical Care Intensivists/APPs 24/7. Also included in our staff mix are Registered nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care technicians. Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:2/1:3.
Clinical Capabilities
- Sepsis and MultiSystem Organ failure management
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) for post cardiac arrest
- Advanced Invasive & NonInvasive Hemodynamic Monitoring:
- Arterial lines
- Flotrac/EV 1000
- Central Venous Catheters
- EKOS Ultrasound Accelerated Thrombolysis
- IntraAortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
- Impella
- Titration of vasopressors
- Titration of continuous paralytics
- Use of BIS monitor /TOF monitor
- Management of Pacemakers
- Complex Respiratory Failure patients requiring advanced ventilatory support
- Post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
- Acute Stroke Care with Alteplase management
- Management of Shock to include cardiac, septic, hypovolemic
- Management of neurosurgical patients including care of external ventricular devices
- Patients with ARDS requiring manual prone therapy
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients
- Function within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrate professional growth and accountability
- Maintain standards of practice
- Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care
Qualifications
Education: Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Work Experience: No experience required — New Graduates of a nursing program eligible required. Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting preferred. 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure — Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License required. BLS - Basic Life Support required. Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
