RN - ICU - Travel

About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on a travel basis in Morristown, NJ. Experience the vibrant community while making a significant impact on patient care in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

• Assessment Skills: Deliver patient care across all stages of growth and development, from Pediatric to Geriatric. Conduct thorough, systematic, and accurate assessments.
• Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills and provide direct patient care. Display knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation. Assume responsibility for documenting the nursing process and patient progress.
• Professionalism: Exhibit professional practice responsibility and identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
• Patient Satisfaction: Respond to patients, families, and co-workers professionally to create a patient-centered environment. Maintain confidentiality as per HIPAA guidelines.
• Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including using two patient identifiers and safe transfer techniques.
• Unit Specific Functions: Demonstrate knowledge of surgical patient conditions, procedures, and equipment. Individualize patient care based on procedure and anesthesia type.
• Responsibility and Accountability: Prioritize patient care based on their needs and condition changes.
• Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assess patient understanding of surgical procedures and include family members in teaching. Conduct pre-operative and postoperative assessments and education.
• Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders for appropriateness.

Qualifications

• 1 year ICU experience
• RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
