About the role
As a Registered Nurse at Ogden Regional Medical Center, you'll provide critical care expertise and excellent patient care on the intensive care unit (ICU).
Responsibilities
- Prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients based on assessment data and identify needs for intervention.
- Demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.
- Evaluate and document each patient's response to medications, interventions, and procedures.
- Absorb and implement the patient's Plan of Care based on the assessment of their individual needs.
- Maintain proper functioning of ventilators, monitors, and other equipment.
- Assist in procedures such as intubation, line placement, and chest tube insertion.
- Monitor basic EKGs, recognize rhythms, and intervene as necessary.
- Collaborate with the critical care team to ensure a quality patient care experience.
Qualifications
- Current Utah State RN license in good standing.
- Associate’s degree.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification preferred.
- Must obtain BLS or BCLS within 7 days of hire and maintain certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification preferred.
- Must obtain ALS or ACLS within 90 days of hire and maintain certification.
- 1-year ICU experience preferred.
