RN ICU Nights

About the role

As a Registered Nurse at Ogden Regional Medical Center, you'll provide critical care expertise and excellent patient care on the intensive care unit (ICU).

Responsibilities

• Prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients based on assessment data and identify needs for intervention.
• Demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.
• Evaluate and document each patient's response to medications, interventions, and procedures.
• Absorb and implement the patient's Plan of Care based on the assessment of their individual needs.
• Maintain proper functioning of ventilators, monitors, and other equipment.
• Assist in procedures such as intubation, line placement, and chest tube insertion.
• Monitor basic EKGs, recognize rhythms, and intervene as necessary.
• Collaborate with the critical care team to ensure a quality patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Utah State RN license in good standing.
• Associate’s degree.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification preferred.
• Must obtain BLS or BCLS within 7 days of hire and maintain certification.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification preferred.
• Must obtain ALS or ACLS within 90 days of hire and maintain certification.
• 1-year ICU experience preferred.
