About the Role

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department-specific requirements and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while modeling the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, patient status, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology for complete understanding.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
• Prepares patients and families for future self-management.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.

Requirements

• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Active license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• One or more years of ICU experience required.
