About the role

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) provides interdisciplinary care for patients with serious medical conditions in a technologically advanced environment. MICU is a closed unit run by pulmonary/critical care specialist physicians and patients are frequently on ventilators and vasopressor support. We have 6 Critical Care Intensivists: a resident team, each led by an attending who specializes in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine. Daily multidisciplinary rounds at the bedside to discuss patients' plans of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to critical patients and complex surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring, invasive lines, ventilators, and critical care pharmacology medications.
• Assess, plan, implement and document patient care.
• Communicate with patients, families and other health team members effectively.
• Implement core measures as indicated on the patients of this unit.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current MA RN License.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
• 2 years current ICU critical care RN preferred.
• Current AHA or ARC BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• CCCRN Preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: $42.84 - $96.81 per hour

Work Schedule: Day / Night
Shift Details: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, every other weekend and holiday
Hours/Week: 36.00
