RN - ICU (36 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Aware of patient presenting problem and past medical history.
• Completes head-to-toe assessment and gathers relevant patient data.
• Makes observations and notifies MD of changes in patient status.
• Accurately and safely administers medications and titrates infusions.
• Documents patient response according to policy.
• Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team and attends rounds.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other team members.
• Ensures patient rooms are neat and tidy, and safety interventions are in place.
• Supports a safe and healing environment through professional behavior.
• Assists visitors and answers phone calls professionally.
• Treats all people with respect and compassion, recognizing cultural differences.
• Maintains a professional appearance and works in a supportive team environment.
• Solves problems and avoids negative behaviors.
• Teaches and advises team members.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Reports unanticipated events via Midas System.
• Understands the impact of healthcare reimbursement and practices financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, with additional experience in telemetry.
• Current RN license by the State of California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Proficient computer skills, strong critical thinking and analytical skills, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of patient care and ability to provide thorough, compassionate, and non-judgmental care.

Pay

Actual compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package. Minimum USD $59.94 Maximum USD $82.42
