RN House Supervisor

About the role

The Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry is seeking an RN House Supervisor who will be responsible for managing nursing resources, enforcing policies, and ensuring patient care quality.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and manage changes in census and acuity
• Allocate nursing resources based on patient acuity
• Enforce and interpret policies for patient and resident care
• Ensure proper staffing for each unit
• Complete chart checks, seclusion/restraint logs, and nursing assessments
• Perform random audits and rounds
• Coach and mentor staff
• Develop and update patient care plans
• Assist with admissions and discharges
• Adjust staffing as needed
• Provide direct care as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred
• Current registered nursing license in the state where the facility is located
• Greater than 1 year of experience as an RN strongly preferred
• 1 year of experience as an RN in any setting required
• 1 year of experience in psychiatric/recovery programs preferred
• Some experience as a charge RN or other leadership position strongly preferred
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required
