Duties
- Responsibility for functions, activities and services of all residents and employees on shift.
- Facility rounds; ensuring nursing staff provide treatments and medications as prescribed; ensuring resident comfort and safety.
- Makes independent decisions regarding nursing care after assessing resident and collecting input from team leader.
- Adheres to resident's Bill of Rights, care policies and all department policies, federal and state regulations.
- Affirms employees ill or injured while on duty.
- Handles staff call-in's; assists nursing team leaders as needed.
- Ensures Unpredictable Event Reports are written; initiates internal report/investigations.
- Provides ongoing education to staff and keeps up with own continuing education.
- Responds to all facility emergencies.
- Updates MD's and families as needed; reports daily to DON.
- Follows HIPAA requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- RN licensure with the MN Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a LTC or hospital setting.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
Work Schedule
- 8-hour shifts. 3:00pm - 11:00pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday every other weekend weekend #1
- 8-hour shifts. 6:00am - 2:00pm Saturday, Sunday Every other weekend #2
Pay
Earns a competitive salary of up to $49.00 per hour (based on years of experience).
