RN - Hospital Medicine (H6)
Summary of Job Duties
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to assigned patients in Hospital Medicine Unit (H6). This area is a 30-bed medical/surgical patient care unit that provides 24 hour care to acutely ill patients as well as palliative care for specialty patients and hospice patients. H6 provides care to a wide variety of patients such as Liver Disease, End-Stage Renal Disease, Respiratory Conditions, Immune Systems Diseases, Gastro-Intestinal Disease, and Musculoskeletal/Integumentary Diseases. Remote telemetry is available for patients who are presenting with clinical cardiac concerns who present with a history of cardiac disease. We also provide pre/postoperative care as well. The patient population ranges from young adult to geriatric.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing. Valid RN License, 1 year of Registered Nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous hospital med/surg certification a plus, 2 years or more nursing experience with current BLS
