RN - Hospice Nurse - PRN

About the role

Join our team as a PRN Community-Based Float Registered Nurse (RN) supporting our East Territory. Provide skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients in their homes, following physician prescriptions and nursing standards. Operate autonomously, engaging meaningfully with patients and families during end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients in their homes
• Follow physician prescriptions and nursing standards
• Operate autonomously in end-of-life care settings
• Engage meaningfully with patients and families

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license in Missouri
• Current BLS CPR certification through the American Heart Association
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the community

Qualifications

• Experience in hospice or long-term care
• Familiarity with issues related to death, dying, and bereavement preferred

Schedule

• Work a minimum of 3 shifts per month
• Including 1 winter and 1 summer holiday
