Responsibilities
- Conducts nursing assessments
- Manages pain and end-of-life care
- Documents accurately in electronic medical records
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure compassionate patient support
Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved nursing school
- Current licensure in the state
- CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Experience
- Recent hospice or long-term care experience
- Strong knowledge of death, dying, and bereavement issues
Skills & Abilities
- Adheres to professional standards
- Understands hospice philosophy
- Demonstrates excellent assessment, communication, and computer skills
- Works independently and cooperatively within a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Perform physical movements like bending, kneeling, and reaching
