Responsibilities
- Provide hospice nursing care to patients in private homes, residential care facilities, nursing centers, and other hospice environments.
- Communicate compassionately with patients and families.
- Observe patients closely, maintain high ethical standards, and alert physicians or other professionals to changes in condition.
- Supervise licensed vocational/practical nurses and nursing aides as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Valid state driver’s license, automobile liability insurance, and dependable transportation.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience (strongly preferred).
- Previous home health or hospice experience (preferred).
