About the role

As a Home Health Aide at Amedisys, you will provide compassionate care to patients in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, medication management, and help patients maintain their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming
• Help patients manage medications and medical equipment
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Help patients maintain a safe and clean living environment
• Communicate regularly with patients’ families and healthcare providers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Pass a drug test

Qualifications

• Experience in home health care or related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
• Ability to lift and move patients safely
