Job Summary
Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospice, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Primary Duties
- Provides direct patient care.
- Affords comprehensive nursing needs assessment of an assigned group of patients (including, but not limited to home health patients).
- Collaborates with patient and family/significant other in the education process.
- Develops and implements patient and family/significant other plan of care in collaboration with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to team members, DPOA, and physician.
- Delivers nursing care within established standards of care, hospice, hospital and unit guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Promotes good public relations between patient, family members, hospital, and community.
- Practices within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
License, Certification, Education or Experience
- REQUIRED for the position: Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required); Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington; Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
- DESIRED for the position: Master’s degree in Nursing.
