Job Summary The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing unit. They utilize the nursing process to make critical decisions, collaborating with patients and families to promote health and uphold patient autonomy and dignity. The role involves providing clinical leadership, ensuring continuity of care, and aligning with hospital policies and goals. Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.Collaborate with nursing leadership and other disciplines to identify improvement opportunities and implement change.Guide and intervene during life-threatening situations.Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and outcomes.Implement innovative processes to enhance patient outcomes.Participate in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Support activities aimed at improving healthcare delivery.Communicate and collaborate with team members in patient care.Promote lifelong learning and professional development.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years experience in the current or a similar setting.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred.Computer literacy required; additional skills are desirable.
