Job Summary The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations of a nursing unit. They utilize the nursing process for clinical decision-making, ensuring safe, quality care that respects patient autonomy and dignity. The role involves providing clinical leadership, supporting staff development, and collaborating with healthcare teams to maintain continuity of care aligned with organizational goals. Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and implement change.Guide staff during life-threatening situations and evaluate intervention outcomes.Implement innovative processes to enhance patient outcomes.Participate in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Support activities aimed at improving healthcare delivery and foster lifelong learning.Communicate effectively with the care team to ensure quality patient care.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting or specialty area.Proficiency in computer literacy.RN licensure with BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred.
