About the role
Griffin Health’s Pathway to Nursing Excellence Residency Program is designed to support new nurses in transitioning to competent practitioners, advancing their skills, and becoming engaged leaders at Griffin Hospital. The program is tailored to meet the needs of licensed and unlicensed nursing disciplines, offering distinct pathways to career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Transition successfully to a competent practitioner
- Provide patient-centered care that is safe, effective, efficient, timely, and equitable
- Advance critical thinking ability and improve clinical decision-making
- Participate in research and evidence-based care
- Become engaged as an entry-level nurse leader at Griffin Hospital
Requirements
- Graduating (or graduated) from an accredited school of nursing
- Have 6 months or less of RN experience or be a new graduate nurse
- Possess a valid Connecticut RN license and BLS certification
Qualifications
- Top three (3) clinical areas of interest
- Professional short- and long-term goals
Skills
The program emphasizes the QSEN’s knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSA’s) while incorporating the Planetree Philosophy, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and respect.
