About the role

Iberia Medical Center (IMC) in New Iberia, LA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the GI Lab. This position will apply the nursing process to care for patients under the supervision of the Unit Director, OR Clinical Coordinator, and Chief Nursing Officer.

Responsibilities

• Interact effectively with patients, significant others, and other health team members.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Work full-time, typically 36 hours per week, with hours of 0615 to 1445 Monday-Friday, plus call rotation from 0800 to 2000, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Graduate of a state-approved RN school.
• Current license as a RN in the State of Louisiana.
• Previous experience preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
• Basic knowledge of biology and chemistry.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing procedures.
• Ability to direct other team members effectively.
