About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge, using appropriate age and population-specific standards. Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Coordinates care, performs resident assessments, provides education, and delegates tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel. May serve as charge nurse, ensuring safe and reliable administration of care. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized resident care.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan and deliver care.
• Demonstrate competency in age and population-specific care standards.
• Coordinate resident care, including assessments, education, and delegation of tasks to assistive personnel.
• Serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to ensure safe and reliable care.
• Provide support to delegates to resolve care and service concerns.
• Adhere to the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses.

Requirements

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA) preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practicing, or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Schedule

• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts.
• 36 weekly hours.
• Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Pay

• Starting pay: $32.50+ per hour, based on experience.
• $30,000 sign-on bonus.
• Additional shift differentials for overnights and weekends.
