Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge and skills pertaining to all diagnoses, procedures, medications, complications, and equipment associated with the unit patient population.
• Adheres to regulatory standards, follows infection prevention precautions, and ensures medication safety.
• Manages supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper functioning.
• Promotes an exceptional patient experience through effective communication, including hourly rounding.
• Utilizes appropriate techniques and resources in interactions with patients based on their level of understanding.
• Communicates effectively with the interdisciplinary team, completing thorough hand-off communication.
• Participates in practice changes, process improvement initiatives, and completes required education.
• Completes timely assessments, including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Makes appropriate decisions and interventions based on nursing diagnoses, setting measurable goals.
• Prioritizes and completes follow-up assessments, modifying the plan of care as needed.
• Assesses and interprets diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition.

Requirements

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
• 1+ Nursing experience [Preferred]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
