Facility: GSS SD SXF VLG • Sioux Falls, SD • Full-time • Day shift (6:00 am – 6:30 pm) • Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized care to residents. Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and adheres to age- and population-specific standards. Coordinates care, performs resident assessments, provides education, and delivers various nursing interventions. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel based on job descriptions, skills, resident needs, and delegate competence. Ensures safe, reliable care and resolution of concerns. Practices within the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules of the state, guided by the ANA’s Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized resident care.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Perform resident assessments and provide education on health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Coordinate care and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring safe and reliable care delivery.
- Serve as charge nurse when needed, overseeing and supporting team members.
- Adhere to state nursing practice standards and the ANA’s Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
Requirements
- Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA); Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Pay
Salary range: $34.00 – $48.00 per hour. Weekly hours: 36.00.

Full-time, 12-hour day shift (6:00 am – 6:30 pm) with every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
