About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital, you’ll have staffing support, technology, and resources to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The role involves coordinating and delivering care in accordance with department requirements and nursing scope and standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide individualized, compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The RN serves as a patient and family advocate while supporting the organization’s vision, mission, and values.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management, including reassessments after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipate and resolve patient needs.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures using clear, non-technical language.
• Educate patients and families on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as lifestyle changes, healthy diet, exercise, and disease prevention.
• Prepare patients and families for future self-management.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date).
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date).
• Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
• No prior experience required.
• No travel required.
