About the role
HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room RN to join their team. The ideal candidate should be a quick thinker, decision-maker, and multitasker, willing to adapt to various situations.
Responsibilities
- Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages.
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation.
- Develop plans that prescribe strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs.
- Provide follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals.
- Cook with the team and ensure breakfast is served to patients.
- Coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, maintaining a patient-focused and safety-aware approach.
Requirements
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- BLS-AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start.
- A degree in nursing from an accredited institution in an acute care environment is preferred.
- NICU must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- TNCC required within 1 year.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date or Registered Nurse Diploma.
- Pediatric ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00 per hour.
Schedule
The schedule for this role is typically 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with potential for weekends and holidays.
