Responsibilities

Careers at Cleveland Clinic are focused on elevating the practice and profession of nursing. The RN Flu Nurse – Temporary role coordinates and tracks compliance programs to meet standards of regulatory agencies for the health and safety of employees and community.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Complexity of Work

Requires excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills. Substantial nursing and medical knowledge across relevant therapeutic areas. Must work effectively with all health care disciplines.

Work Experience

Two years of recent clinical experience with IM injections required.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Requires normal or corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • Sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and /or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
