We have an exciting opportunity for you to join St. Mark's Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of healthcare services.

About the Role

As a highly-skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse in the Float Pool, you will provide preventative, supportive, and nursing care to each patient based on the nursing process and hospital policies. You will develop individualized care plans through assessment and planning, supporting the Float Pool by filling in for ill calls, high census periods, or leaves of absence. You will float to all nursing units where competencies have been completed, functioning in full capacity on each assigned unit.

Responsibilities

  • Float to all nursing units where competencies have been completed and function in full capacity.
  • Evaluate and document each patient’s response to medication, interventions, and procedures.
  • Formulate and coordinate individualized patient care plans based on assessment of needs.
  • Keep patients and/or significant others informed of the plan of care.
  • Maintain patient safety during all aspects of nursing intervention and document safety measures in medical records.
  • Provide care in collaboration with the patient/family, considering developmental, cultural, and age-specific differences.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, including problems, goals, evaluations, and interventions.
  • Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.

Requirements

  • Current State of Utah Registered Nurse license or RN Compact license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification.
  • Any other certification/training required by the department in which you float.
  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Sensitivity, maturity, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • At least one year of medical/surgical or acute care hospital experience.
