Float Pool Opportunities

Our Float Pool units are fast paced units that include high acuity patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our Float Pool leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building each team member.

  • Patient Population: Float Pool floats to Med/Surg, Tele, ICU, and PCU
  • Patient Ratios: Vary by unit
  • Unit selling points: Float Pool is supportive and encouraging. They love their staff to flourish, grow, develop, and take on new tasks. Their unit provides flexibility, support, and potential for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Float to multiple units including Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, and PCU as assigned
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective care
  • Support unit-based councils and shared governance models
  • Participate in evidence-based practice, research, and innovation initiatives

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
  • 2+ years of Med Telemetry experience in an acute care inpatient hospital setting
  • Float Pool experience highly desired, but not required
  • Will be required to pass telemetry test if hired
  • Med Tele candidates with insulin, stable drips, NIH assessment highly desired, but not required
  • BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
