Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program
  • Main area of study in education should be nursing
  • 3 years of experience in nursing required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of starting

Department Specifics

The expectation of caregivers in Float pool is to be able to provide care for a broad range of patients. A Float Pool caregiver may work with critical care patients in the Step Down unit, provide care for Med/Surg or work in Observation or Holding units. Opportunity to be consistently challenged and increase skills and knowledge, greater exposure to various departments, and viewed as a valuable resource with a skillset that provides support to multiple departments.
