Job Summary

The Staff RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Medical Center of Lewisville. They collaborate with the patient, patient's family, and other members of the health care team to assess nursing care needs, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes of care. The RN also provides direct care or supervises nursing care of LVN’s and non-licensed nursing staff. They ensure care is provided consistent with departmental policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Additionally, the RN assumes charge duties, making patient assignments and supervising and directing staff and unit activities.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • BSN+1 years of RN critical care experience preferred
